Jesus, you light up my life.

You’ll deliver me from strife.

You’re with me in times of trouble.

And satan makes heartaches double.

I can’t praise your name enough.

You hold me when things get tough.

You carry me when I can’t walk.

I look at you, cry, and I can’t talk.

You give me peace deep in my soul.

And from this world I want to go.

Dear sweet Jesus, I love you so.

How you died for me, I’ll never know.

I look forward to living with you.

Evil won’t be around to look my way.

My old body, I can no longer see.

Only a new one that you give to me.
