My name is Steve W. Are you ready when the Lord comes back. Do you know him personally as your Lord and Savior.
When I had my auto accident in 1985 to me it was the most devastating part of my life. I woke up in the hospital and I couldn't move anything, I couldn't talk, I thought this is how I'm going to die, but God knew different he didn't save me right after my auto accident. The things that I went through afterwards to me were the most awful things of my life. Shortly after my auto accident I didn't think I could be loved again. I felt alone, I felt like a misfit and when I felt alone nobody to turn to, all I could do was turn to drugs, alcohol, pornography and many other things. I thought this was the love that I was after but it wasn't, It only drew me to depression, anxiety, and pure loneliness. I went on like this for years. When I retired I was sitting in my living room listening to an older man holding a Bible in his hand reading the Good News and I believed in what I heard. I walked away from the TV after it was over and God showed me my sin and I cried out in remorse knowing that I needed a savior to save me from hell. He gave me the Holy Spirit and put his love in my heart and it changed my life forever. I now have a relationship with Jesus because of his grace through faith. But don't get me wrong things are still tough and I am not perfect but God is in my life. He's the one in control now and with the Holy Spirit who guides me and leads me I would call this a much much better life thanks to Jesus.
Ephesians 2:8 NKJV
[8] For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
I'm sharing this story because I want you whoever is reading this who needs Jesus to believe the gospel and receive Christ as your Lord and savior. Don't skip these steps they are simple and they will give you a new life, a life in heaven
Your first step to the Lord is admitting that you are a sinner that you need his help. Remember we were all born as sinners so it doesn't matter what sin you committed a sin is a sin. We all need Jesus forgiveness
Roman 3:23 For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God
God is offering you a free gift now is the time to accept that gift
Romans 6:23 for the wages of sin is death but the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord
What this means is that, because of our sin we owe an eternal death sentence (HELL), but God sent Jesus, God the son, to Earth to take our place and pay the penalty for our sins by his death on the cross. He paid the ultimate sacrifice for our internal freedom Christ died for our sins... He was buried... He rose again on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3-4. He did this because he loved us, and did not want us to have to spend eternity in hell. God's word says salvation is a free gift. We have the freedom to willingly receive this gift John 1:12 says, but as many as received him, to them gave his power to become the sons of God, Even to them that believe on his name.
Have you received him? If not believe with all your heart and mind that Jesus died for all of yours sins, was buried and rose again from the dead
If you believe with all your heart and mind what the Lord did for you on the cross and trust him as your savior you are saved.
Here is more good news John 17:3 says, and this is life enteral, that they might know the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thru hast sent." This means Eternal starts now, The moment you believe
Romans 10:13
for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Romans 10:13
I do hope my testimony has touched your heart and that you also have received Jesus as your Lord and Savior. A good place to start in the Bible to read is John in the New testament.
